About Us
Baker’s Secret is an Iconic All-American non-stick bakeware Brand introduced to the U.S. market in 1972. With RL Industry being a leading manufacturer and supplier of Kitchenware products, specializing in Bakeware and Cookware of Carbon Steel, Aluminum, and Silicone, it made sense to incorporate Baker’s Secret into its family, and as such, it comes as no surprise that RL Industry seized the opportunity to acquire the Baker’s Secret brand, transforming it into a nationally recognized and prominent global brand. Today, RL Group is actively engaged in the distribution, manufacturing, and global production of Baker’s Secret.
History of Baker’s Secret
In 1881, Edward Katzinger immigrated from Austria to New York City. He started off as a “tinner” in a factory before moving out to begin his own venture, eventually landing in Chicago where he focused on baking tin production for the commercial baking industry. Before the turn of the 20th century, baking pans were typically produced in various sizes, made-to-order for clients, with no standardized sizing or specifications.
But with the help of Katzinger’s son, Arthur, the business was pumping out up to 70,000 pans a day, all stock sized, ready to hit the mass market. It was this revolutionary shift that spearheaded the amazing growth of the Katzinger business, and while acquiring and creating various brands over the 20th century, in 1972, Baker’s Secret® would be born.
Today, Baker’s Secret continues to thrive, providing a wide range of kitchen tools, gadgets, and bakeware dedicated to the baking industry.
